Notice: David Rose’s Free Talk – Holy Trinity Steps A Silent Witness To Guildford’s Past

It may sound like an unusual topic for one of David Rose’s well known illustrated local history talks – Holy Trinity Steps A Silent Witness To Guildford’s Past.

However, he will focus on many fascinating events that have taken place on or near the steps of Holy Trinity Church in Guildford High Street.

These include royal proclamations, public gatherings, notable services at the church, as well changes to nearby buildings, and also key events such as the infamous Guy Riots, carnival processions and parades, cycle racing and, of course, the people linked with them.

Many of the vintage photographs that will be featured have rarely been seen in recent times.

The free talk takes place at the Trinity Centre in Trinity Churchyard on Monday, February 12, at 7.30pm. No need to book, just go along in good time to get a seat!
